Know, what is the Modi government’s Atal Bhujal Yojana, who will get the benefit of it?

The government has brought two Yojana named Atal Bhujal and Atal Tunnel. The Central Government has allocated 6000 crores for this.

The Modi government is launching two important schemes on the occasion of the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. These schemes are being launched under the names Atal BHujal and Atal Tunnel. The Central Government has allocated 6000 crores for this.

According to Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, the Atal Bhujal Yojana has been brought to deal with the water problem . It will cost 6000 crores rupees in 5 years. Out of which 3000 crore rupees will be given by World Bank and 3000 crores government.

What is Atal Bhujal Yojana?

The goal of this Yojana is to raise the level of ground water in those areas where the ground water level has gone down significantly. The objective of the scheme is to increase the amount of ground water. Also, with the aim of benefiting the farmers, this scheme has been brought by the central government.

Under this scheme, the central government wants to ensure adequate water storage for farmers. Also, the government says that this scheme will also help in doubling the income of farmers.

Who will get the benefit?

Six states will get the benefit of this scheme. The plan includes Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. According to the government, 8350 villages will benefit from this scheme.

PM Modi said that the topic of water was very important for Atal ji, very close to his heart. Whether it is the Atal Jal Yojana or the guidelines related to the Jal Jeevan Mission, these are a major step in proving the resolve to deliver water to every household in the country by 2024.

Rohtang Tunnel will now be known as Atal Tunnel

PM Modi said that today the name of a big project very important for the country has been dedicated to Atal ji. The Rohtang Tunnel connecting Himachal Pradesh with Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir, the Manali connecting Leh will now be known as Atal Tunnel.

Modi said that before the election, when we talked about the Ministry of Water Power dedicated to water, some people felt what a promise. But very few noticed why it was needed. New India has to prepare us to deal with every situation of water crisis. For this, we are working together on five levels.

 

Atal Bhujal Yojana will work to increase ground water

He said the water crisis is also affecting the development as a family, as a citizen is worrying for us, as a country. Aside from water life mission, which will carry water from the pipe to every home and on the other hand is adamant water plan, which will focus on those areas where ground water is very low.

In the first phase, the Atal Bhujal Yojana

Bhujal Yojana will be implemented in these states PM Modi said that the Atal Bhujal Yojana Scheme will help in the lifting of ground water of these seven states Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The condition of ground water in more than 8,300 gram panchayats in 78 districts of these seven states is very worrying. Its people have to bear the huge brunt of it. To get people free from these problems, to improve the water level, we have to conduct awareness campaigns.
